A Creative Partnership

We are working with local charity Young Bristol to turn their vision on sustainability and renewable energy into artwork.

The project will create three separate designs, which will be displayed in the new meeting space at our offices at Bristol sewage treatment works.

Young people from the charity will help undertake a photography project completed on our site as well as a bottle cap garden made from materials collected the youth club setting. A large graffiti mural is also being created by artist Nick Halahan.

Members of Young Bristol taking part in the project will gain a range of skills from training in photography, graffiti techniques and working with clients - with some having the opportunity to create a take home creation too.

The youth-driven charity works to offer a range of opportunities for all young people and the project with us will involve 40 young people, ranging from 8 to 16 years old, from clubs in the local communities of Avonmouth, Lawrence Weston, Shirehampton and Sea Mills.

“Myself and new colleagues Laura Blake and Amy Clephane, have all enjoyed exploring the concept of translating sustainability and renewable energy into art with such an enthusiastic and creative group of young people from our local community. I can't wait to see what they come up with!”

We’ll be working together with Young Bristol to craft the designs over the next few weeks and an opening ceremony is planned to showcase the final artwork.
