  • Local recognition in the Green Top 50

Last month, GENeco was given an Outstanding Recognition Award at the West of England Green 50 presentation evening in Bristol.

The ranking aims to recognise and celebrate local businesses who go above and beyond to save our planet.

GENeco’s efforts were celebrated with a special award. The judges felt that the business has proved that the city can operate as a circular economy and is putting Bristol at the forefront of environmental innovation.

The award’s sponsors, CFH Docmail and Good Energy, presented on the sustainable choices they have made in recent years. Triodos Bank were also given an Outstanding Recognition Award.

The evening closed with The Real Wrap Company, a local sandwich producer, being presented with the West of England Green 50 Public Choice Award, which was decided by public vote. The company was established in 2010 with a vision of reducing waste and locally sourcing produce, and their initiatives have included producing beer using their wasted bread.

Congratulations to all of the green business in the South West that made the short list.
