  • Developing engineers visit Bristol STW

GENeco staff recently hosted the IMechE Western Region Young Members Panel at GENeco’s main site in Bristol.

    Developing engineers

Developing engineers from GENeco and Wessex Water, working towards professional registration with the institution, undertook the site visit.  The technical tour outlined GENeco’s advancements in sustainable technology and utilisation of wasted resources.

The visiting group included engineers from companies such as Alderley, Cavendish Nuclear, Rolls Royce and Wales & West Utilities, and presented the GENeco hosts with a great opportunity to build on new and existing skills whilst on the development scheme.  The GENeco engineers were challenged with in-depth technical questions on their theory of sewage treatment, outgoing products and wider GENeco commercial activities.

Due to the success of the event and the interest generated, it is planned to hold another event in the upcoming year with the aim of involving the new generation of developing engineers within GENeco and Wessex Water.

A big thank you to the Institute of Mechanical Engineers for bringing members from across the region together.
