Director of Projects / Management Team

Steve Carver

"I find that GENeco is a group of committed, friendly, hard-working and dedicated individuals who are all giving their best to make a difference for the environment and the Wessex Water Enterprises business. It is a privilege to be involved with such a talented group of focused individuals."

In his role Steve is responsible for the delivery of all capital maintenance investment for the sewage treatment assets and leads the process of making the business case for new investment. This involves developing the business plan to seek board approval and then directing the implementation of the delivery of the new assets. Outside of GENeco Steve also directs the activities of the WWE property development business.

Steve left Loughborough University with a degree in civil engineering and worked in the UK, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq and Oman for a variety of consultancy organisations over a 20 year period. Most recently he worked for Atkins for 16 years before joining Wessex Water in 2000. In the mid-90s he studied for an MBA at Warwick University.

Outside of work Steve enjoys spending time with his family, planning and implementing domestic projects, cycling, football, running and reading. In particular, he enjoys travelling to explore new places and sampling different cultures.
